"Shine bright like a peacock in the golden sun." This one-of-a-kind, entirely handfabricated, highly detailed statement necklace is an ode to our old neighborhood peacock, Charlie. Made entirely by hand from sterling silver and copper sheet and features Lapis Lazuli and peridot.
The center/body is sterling silver, as are the top tail layers. The feathers and bottom layer if the tail are copper. The wingspan measures 5.75" across and beak to tail is just under 5". It's a large piece, yet surprisingly very comfortable to wear. Also looks beautiful displayed, hung up in a shadow box or frame to look at when not being worn.
The chain is also entirely handfabricated, link by link and is adjustable simply by unhooking and hooking any of the many hook clasp links(see photos).
The quote: "Shine bright like a peacock in the golden sun" is freehand etched on the backside, to remind the wearer to always shine brightly.
The back is stamped with my LUPANYXA and M.NYXA makers marks and STERLING.
As always, this piece of jewelry was fastidiously made and all edges were meticulously filed, sanded and polished buttery smooth to ensure no part of it catches or snags, and feels good to wear.
This is a well made, one-of-a-kind piece of heirloom art jewelry. Every component hand fabricted and created here at our little home studio. I'm so proud of this piece.
