These Poisoner rings I make are definitely a labor of love as they are tedious and require quite a bit of time and attention to detail. So, of course I love creating them when I can!
This black beauty features a round, rose cut black onyx that I set into a hand fabricated 5 claw setting. It sits atop a pillbox style poison ring, all hand fabricated from sterling sheet and wire, down to the tiny hinges and clasp. The edges have a subtle texture I created with a graver, and top and bottom plate were pattern textured.
The ring itself is fully functional and can hold tiny secrets or poison of choice. Keep in mind, since this is a hinged piece, the lid will rattle just a bit with hand movements.
The shank/band I formed from 10 gauge sterling round wire into a triple split style, and I then soldered the outer wire to the edges of the ring case.
The back plate is stamped with my LUPANYXA makers mark and STERLING.
This ring sits high on the finger at just over 3/4" from back plate to crown of the stone, and is 3/4" at the widest point.
All edges were meticulously filed, sanded and polished to a buttery smooth finish, so as no parts will snag or catch.
Fits like a 9 1/2 *cannot be resized
