This ring features Nacozari Turquoise mined just south of Bisbee, Arizona. It's a beautiful sky blue with almost black matrix in higher profile small oval shape. It was cut and cabbed right here at our home lapidary by my partner and 2nd generation Lapidarist, Max Avila.
I set it in a fancy gallery bezel and surrounded it with sterling sparkle wire.
The shank/band is a double split style I made from lighter/medium weight half round sterling with hammer texture. All edges were meticulously filed, sanded and smoothed and I gave this ring a bright polish.
The back plate is lightly pattern textured and stamped with my LUPANYXA makers marks and STERLING.
This is a well made, one-of-a-kind piece of hand fabricated jewelry, made to last and become an heirloom.
The face of the ring measures 7/8" in length and 7/8" wide.
